The Mervyn Stone Mysteries – Bargain Prices For One Weekend Only

Just thought I’d bring this to your attention, dear readers. You may have noticed my banging on and on about the Mervyn Stone Mysteries by Nev Fountain – namely Geek Tragedy, DVD Extras Include: Murder and Cursed Among Sequels, a set of very witty, very clever mysteries set against the background of a failed TV Science Fiction series, Vixens From The Void. In fact, it’s safe to say that these books were one of the inspirations for the blog you are reading now.

Anyway, they are on sale for this weekend – 21st and 22nd of July – only at a bargain price of all three for £15 – and given that the price of a paperback seems to be about £9 these days, that is a bargain!

Simply go to this page – http://www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/geek-tragedy—paperback-614 – and then click the subscribe button and you can select the bundle of three books for £15.

Have a quick look through the reviews I wrote, but I cannot recommend these mysteries highly enough.

Oh, in case you’re wondering, I haven’t been asked to write this plug, and I’m certainly not getting paid for this. I simply figure that the easiest way to get more books in the series is to a) form a loyal band of readers, the bigger the better and then b) lay siege to Nev’s house with pitchforks and burning torches until he writes some more. But I will need numbers to do this. You have no idea how hard it is to carry a pitchfork and a burning torch by yourself.

This post will self-destruct in two days…

EDIT: No it won’t. But the books have gone back up to full price, but they’re still worth it.

  1. For shame I have yet to read these – I bought all of them as I think Nev is such a fine and clever writer and your reviews really sold me on them – just haven’t got down to it yet, but I definitely will Steve, clearly much too good to pass up – thanks for the reminder!

  2. Shame on your, Sergio! I think the second and third are stronger than the first, but the first does have a (possibly) unique motive.
